How does diamond rhinoplasty work?
As with a traditional surgical nose job, a general anaesthetic is required with diamond rhinoplasty. However instead of large incisions and breaking the bones of the nose, a delicate-yet-powerful diamond-tipped tool is inserted and small vibrations file or cut away the bones, shaping them more precisely, thus offering more predictable results. This technique results in significantly less bruising and swelling after the treatment, compared with a traditional nose-job.
How do I know if I am suitable for diamond rhinoplasty?
As with all surgical procedures performed here at CosmeSurge, we will invite you for a no obligation consultation with one of our consultant surgeons. You will be examined to see if the diamond rhinoplasty technique will be suitable for your individual needs and your medical history will be checked, to ensure you are fit and healthy for surgery. The procedure will be explained to you in detail and you will be given a ‘cooling off’ period to make an informed and educated decision on whether you would like to go ahead with the treatment. Further consultations will be available, should you wish to return to discuss the procedure further, before making your final decision.
What happens during the procedure?
On the day of your surgery, you’ll be given a general anaesthetic so you will not be aware of anything during the procedure. The surgery will take around an hour to an hour and a half to perform and following the operation, you will be able to recover in one of the recovery rooms so you can awaken naturally and be given something to eat and drink before leaving the surgery. As diamond rhinoplasty is less invasive than traditional rhinoplasty, you’ll probably be able to return home a few hours afterwards, providing you are escorted home.
When will I see the results?
As this is a surgical procedure, the results will happen straight away, although you may need to wait for some slight swelling or bruising to subside and for your nose to fully recover. This may take a week to two weeks. Results are permanent and you can enjoy your newly sculpted nose for life.
